Workshop updates

I've been down in the workshop today having a good tidy up and making room for some new shelving units I've inherited. Lots of space now for my various containers and glassware. I don't like how much natural wood there is in there - I would much rather it be all white - but it's my parents' property and they don't want the walls painted so I just have to make it pretty in other ways!

Emily and Mike's Wedding

My lovely friend Emily got married yesterday to Mike and asked me to do an arrangement for either side of the church entrance. I chose flowers to complement her bouquet (done by another florist) but decided to stick with all whites, including roses, spray roses, tanacetum, trachelium, snowberries and antirrhinum, with eucalyptus and rosemary from the garden.

Chelmsford Racecourse

I made another arrangement for Chelmsford Racecourse for their meet tonight. And in honour of the hot weather I went for something a little tropical with these birds of paradise and some bamboo from the garden.

Nicole and Nik's Wedding

The lovely Nicole got married yesterday to Nik and here are her flowers. She chose David Austin roses, carnations and gypsophila, with a stunning bridal bouquet, two bridesmaids, six centrepieces, two top table designs and some little bunches of gypsophila to decorate the beams. She looked beautiful and told me she was very happy with the flowers :) [the last two photos were taken from Instagram and are not mine]

Birthday flowers - jam jar

A girl at work approached me last week asking for an arrangement for her mum for her birthday. Due to amount she wanted to spend I suggested a jam jar arrangement, and she specified she wanted yellows because it's her mum's favourite colour. I found these amazing dahlias at the wholesalers for a very reasonable price and mixed them with freesia, chrysanthemum, gypsophila and veronica, plus a bit of homegrown foliage.

I saw this photo on facebook - the mum looks very happy with her flowers!

Red rose bridal bouquet

A girl I used to work with got married last week and asked me for a red rose bridal bouquet with diamantés, and she didn't want to be able to see the stems. So this is what I came up with - I hope she had a great wedding day!

A couple of girls from work who were invited to the wedding sent me a couple of photos - doesn't the bride look beautiful?! The bouquet fits perfectly with her outfit!
