Jam jar arrangements

Some lovely jam jar arrangements I have been making today. Some are going into work to brighten people's days but they would also be perfect as wedding centrepieces.

Birdcage flowers

I have been asked to quote for a birdcage arrangement for a wedding and because I have never made one before I thought I better give it a go. Here's how it turned out - and I love it!

Chelmsford Racecourse

I made this arrangement for display at Chelmsford Racecourse for their latest meet. It is proudly on display in their reception area. I'm doing a couple more designs over the summer so next time I think I might go for something bigger and more modern looking.

Floristry work experience

I did some work experience today at Michelle Floral Design in Witham - here's some photos of the things I made :) I was also given a lesson in how to use a fire extinguisher! Bit random but useful I'm sure.

Raffle prize

I made this arrangement for a raffle prize, to be won at a jazz event at Braxted Park tonight.

Update - my mum gave out the raffle prizes and she said it was a young woman who won this and apparently she was very excited about it!

Tolleshunt D'Arcy Horticultural Society Summer Show

Today I entered some floral designs into the Tolleshunt D'Arcy Horticultural Society Summer Show - and I got a prize in every category I entered into! I won three first prizes for 'a miniature arrangement', 'an arrangement of roses and rose foliage' and 'an arrangement in a cup and saucer', second place for 'an arrangement inspired by the Mad Hatter's Tea Party' and third place for 'an arrangement in an unusual container'. I was pretty pleased with that :)
