Visiting London florists

I went on a field trip with college last week, to visit some florists in London. We went to McQueens, Wild at Heart, Neill Strain, Jane Packer and Jamie Aston.

It was a long day with a lot of walking around, but it was really good to see all the different florists and see how they compare to local florists in Essex. They all said they would be willing to offer work experience so it might be something to consider in the future. 

The Secret Garden window display

I've just finished the first part of the window display unit at college. We split into groups and chose a theme to base our display round, and my group chose "The Secret Garden" as our theme. We made five arrangements for the display - a twig pot arrangement, a topiary tree, a jam jar trio posy, a heart wreath and a hand tied. We got a distinction for our display so we must have a done a good job, and I certainly think we did!
