Welcome to my new blog!

Hi, I'm Hannah and I'm currently studying Floristry at Writtle College. I started out as a Graphic Designer (view my design blog here) and I used to always think that was what I wanted to do, but at the start of last summer I decided that I didn't want to do that anymore and I wanted to be a florist instead. Bit of a leap but I think they're both connected, they're both creative industries anyway!

I had a trial run helping out with the flowers at my brother's wedding in September (I'll post about that later) and then knew for definite that floristry was what I wanted to do. So I enrolled at Writtle College and I am now four weeks in to the Intermediate College Certificate. This is just a hobby course as for work commitments I couldn't do the Diploma this year, but next year I hope to become a part time student and work my way towards my new dream.

So that's a very brief overview of how this blog came about. I am absolutely loving my course so far and I'm so glad I made the decision to do it. A career change can be a big thing but if it means you get to do a job you love then it's definitely worth it. And that's my motivational speech over :)
